Become a RadRenter Sponsor

What is a RadRenter Sponsor?

A RadRenter sponsor is a person or organization who takes on the responsibility of growing, promoting and managing RadRenter.com in a certain area. The area may be a city, a county, or a number of counties.

We are currently accepting applications for the Sponsorship for Dane County Wisconsin.  (The Madison Wisconsin Area)

Why become a RadRenter Sponsor?

Why would you want to become a RadRenter Sponsor? The short answer is to make money. To make passive income. It’s an awesome side hustle. You will make advertising revenue from the pages on RadRenter.  It’s your business! Once you build up listings in your area, prospective renters will use RadRenter to find a place to rent. Once landlords and renters use RadRenter in your area, they will continue to use it. You will need to work really hard in the beginning to grow the listings and traffic, but once you do, you create passive income for yourself.

There are three primary ways you will earn revenue through advertising:

  1. When someone clicks on an ad that is served through a third party ad service, such as Google Adsense and Media.net.
  2. When you sell a banner ad to a local company.
  3. When you sell Featured Listings to landlords.

How does a RadRenter Sponsorship work?

To help you understand how a RadRenter Sponoshorship works, we’re going to use the following hypothetical example:

RadRenter is looking for a sponsor for Southeast Minnesota. This area contains 12 counties, and the cities of Rochester, Winona, Faribault, Owatonna, Albert Lea, Austin, Fairmont, Red Wing, as well as many smaller cities. The population of this area is just over 500, 000 people.

Map showing Minnesota with county borders. The southeast counties are highlighted blue.

There can be only one sponsor for this area. Though, a sponsor doesn’t have to be just an individual. A sponsor could be a single individual, or an organization, such as a real estate office.

A number of different people, as well as a few real estate offices are interested in being the sponsor for Southeast Minnesota, so they have submitted an application to RadRenter for the opportunity.

There are many great candidates for the sponsorship, and since there can only be one, we have to make a choice. RadRenter has chosen Ted.

Why we chose Ted. We think Ted is a motivated person. He understands the concept. He understands the importance of quality listings, and great customer service. Ted knows that nothing in life is just handed to you, and most successes don’t come overnight, but if you work hard at something, and have fun doing it, it will pay off in the end. He also understands the importance of not doing anything that would damage the RadRenter brand. We think Ted will be successful, and would be happy to share his knowledge of how he became successful, and what worked for him with all the other sponsors.

Ted signs an agreement with RadRenter. Ted agrees to pay RadRenter a monthly licensing fee to RadRenter. The monthly fee for this area is $175 per month. There is no time frame in which Ted is locked into this agreement. If he tries it for 4 months, and decides it’s not for him, he can just simply tell us it’s not for him, and be done.

It is for Ted though, he enjoys being the RadRenter Sponsor for Southeastern Minnesota, and is more than happy to pay the fee of $175 per month.  The reason he is happy being a sponsor is because he is making money doing it. Ted is receiving advertising revenue from the pages on RadRenter associated with his area.

A few examples of these pages for Dane County Wisconsin are as follows:

The listing page for the city of Madison, WI.

The Listing page for Dane County.

Sell one Local Ad and it Pays for Your Fee!

When Ted became a sponsor, we started Ted off with a goal. That goal was to sell one local ad. If Ted could sell one local ad to an Apartment complex, and price it at $175 per month, that one single ad would pay for his monthly fee!  So the first thing Ted did when he became a sponsor is start calling up landlords and property managers. He added listings for them, as well as helped them add listings for themselves. He took pictures where listings needed pictures, and even made video tours for some of the apartments, and posted them on the listings. Ted posted For Rent Signs for landlords. Ted advertised every place he could think of in the most economical way, many of them for free, to build up traffic to the site. He built up listings in all the cities in his area, but he really focused on one city, so he could sell that first local ad. Ted completed his goal, and after selling the first ad, not only did it pay for his monthly fee to RadRenter, it proved to Ted that he could do it, and so he sold many more after that.

Start generating revenue from day one with Adsense and Media.net ads.

Ted also created a Google Adsense and Media.net account.  Both these services provide Ted with code snippets to display ads on his pages on RadRenter. Whenever someone clicks on Ted’s ads, Ted makes money. The code looks something like the snippet you see below.

adsense code snippet

RadRenter is programmed in a way, that when pages on RadRenter, associated with Ted’s area, load on RadRenter, Ted’s ads load, and not RadRenter’s or a different sponsor’s. All Ted has to do is create the Adsense account, copy the code snippet, and send it on over to us. We do the rest.

Now everytime someone clicks on one of Ted’s ads, Ted gets paid. It will go directly into Ted’s Adsense account. After Ted reaches a certain threshold, Adsense will deposit the money directly into his bank account.

Sell Featured Listings to Landlords

Ted also sells Featured Listings to Landlords for $7 per week per listing, generating even more revenue for himself.

You Have Help!

RadRenter.net is a place where sponsors come to get help, and to give help. It’s nice to know that others are doing exactly what you are doing. You can learn form them, and they can learn from you. It’s a community that learns and grows together.

How much money will I make?

It depends how hard you work, and how effective you are at growing RadRenter in your area. We can look at a few different scenarios, though, to get an idea.

Sponsor A: Monthly Profit/Loss Statement:

Sponsor A is a real estate agent. She is always looking for creative ways to market her real estate services. She also knows and understands the power of networking. The more people she meets and builds connections with, the more opportunities come her way. She thinks being a RadRenter sponsor is a perfect fit for her. The first day she became a sponsor, she put a local ad on RadRenter advertising her real estate services. She uses the opportunity to make connections with all the property managers and landlords in the area. Not to mention, she supplements her income by the extra money she makes every month from RadRenter.

Sponsor B Monthly Profit/Loss Statement:

Sponsor B worked really hard at first, growing the popularity of RadRenter in one city. He ended up selling one local ad in this city. After that he lost motivation. The traffic to the pages in his area is low, so his Adsense and Media.net revenue is low. He realizes being a RadRenter sponsor is not for him, and so he lets us know. He no longer has to pay the licensing fee. We find someone else to be the sponsor for his area.

She is a very active Mom and Housewife, and it is her goal to be the best at those things that she can possible be. She just needed a little something else outside of the home. She worked modestly hard at growing RadRenter, and doesn’t make a lot of income from it. She’s happy with what it has done for her, though. She worked hard the first year building up the traffic and exposure of RadRenter in her area. Now though, she mostly works to maintain the current level of RadRenter in her area. She now only works a few minutes a day on RadRenter. She loves the passive income. She makes $575 a month. $425 of it she puts in her car fund. The other $150 she puts in her vacation fund. Being a RadRenter Sponsor pays her car payment, and takes her family on vacation every year.
